WWE Hires Ty Bailey’s Replacement, WrestleMania Betting Odds, The Miz, JBL News and Note on The Rock

The Miz will be representing WWE at The USA Network’s Upfront Week event in New York City on May 17th. The event will take place at the Lincoln Center’s Alica Tully Hall.

Betting site Bovada.lv has odds up for WrestleMania 28 and currently lists the following stars to win their big matches on Sunday: Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Sheamus, CM Punk, Team Laurinaitis, The Undertaker and John Cena. Betting site PaddyPower.com lists about the same.

WWE has reportedly hired someone new to replace Ty Bailey in developmental. Canyon Cemen, a former world volleyball champion, will be WWE’s new Sr. Director of Talent Development. WWE wanted to bring someone in outside of the wrestling business and Cemen has worked in the volleyball world with experience in economics and business, which is what WWE wanted.

The Rock announced on Twitter that Journey 2 has brought in over $300 million worldwide.

Justin Gabriel wrote on Twitter that he needs stitches in his mouth after Tyson Kidd busted him open in their WWE Superstars match that was taped on Monday night.

Reality TV star Captain Keith Colburn of the Deadliest Catch show has been announced to appear at WrestleMania Axxess this weekend. He will be appearing on Saturday from 6-10pm.

Former WWE Champion JBL will be doing a fundraiser called Seven Summits For Kids this summer. JBL will attempt to climb the tallest peak on every continent and start on June 17th with Mount Elbrus in the Russian Caucasus Mountains.
JBL told The Sun that he is paying for the trips and 100% of all money raised goes right to the kids. He hopes to place a Bermudan flag on all 7 peaks.

WWE officials are interested in doing more one-hour specials for big events like they did with the “Once In A Lifetime” special for John Cena and The Rock this week.
